All Lesson Packages Include:
Vocal technique training - through warm-ups and exercises, we will explore how to use the voice properly. We will apply this knowledge to the repertoire we are working on. These exercises will also be recorded, so that students will be able to practice on their own.
Vocal Hygiene - there will be a focus on vocal hygiene, as it relates to speaking and functioning in our every day lives. Basic vocal anatomy will be explained to give students a well rounded understanding of how to take care of their voice and avoid vocal damage.
Repertoire building - we will practice material that students wish to work on, along with repertoire properly suited for the students voice that I will recommend.
Understanding of music theory - as it relates to the voice and singing. Students will learn how to apply the knowledge of theory to their repertoire, in order to help them become better singers and musicians.
Performance training & technique - so that students may learn how to effectively communicate with their audience and become confident on stage.
Workbook (in-person lessons only) - This will help students set long and short-term goals, log practice time, reflect on their lessons, and add special notes for the teacher that will be discussed at the start of each lesson.
1:1 progress consultation - at the end of each package, I will have a discussion with the student and/or parent to assess progress and discuss goals moving forward.
*Packages of 4 or more are offered at discounted rates and scheduled on a weekly basis. All packages require a minimum of 4 lessons, but there is no limit to the number of lessons you can book at one time. Hybrid packages of your choosing are available at the discounted rates. Looking for voice lessons with a concentration in a particular area? Marissa can incorporate acting, songwriting, music theory, audition & college prep into any and all lessons, if requested. In-Home Packages:
Let’s sing in the comfort of your own home! This discounted package is available for a limited time only. In-home lessons allow students to comfortably hone their singing and performing skills in a stress-free and familiar environment. This option is available for all students living in the Essex and Union Counties of NJ.

In-Studio Package:
Lessons are held at studios in New Providence and Livingston, NJ.

Online Packages:
Lessons are done via Zoom and students will receive a reoccurring link that can be used for each lesson. To ensure the best audio quality, each student will be provided a Zoom audio checklist before beginning the package. Students will also be provided with a recording of vocal warm-ups that they can practice with each week.

Single Lessons:

Once we lock in a lesson schedule, an invoice will be sent and payment must be received prior to the start of the first lesson. Venmo, Zelle, Cash & Check are all accepted methods of payment.

*Cancellation Policy: I kindly request at least 24 hours notice for all cancellations. A make up lesson will always be offered, and if we are unable to reschedule, we will resume the following week. If you cancel within a 24 hour period, you will be responsible for 50% of the total lesson cost. Should you cancel within 8 hours of your lesson time, you will be charged the full amount of the lesson. Emergencies, illnesses and unforeseen circumstances happen, and I will always work with you to find a fair solution. If regular cancellations occur, you may be asked to switch to a weekly, single lesson schedule. No-shows will not receive a make up lesson or refund.
